Synopsis

The Comet is a science fiction short story written by W.E.B. Du Bois. The story is set in the early 20th century and follows the experiences of Jim Davis, a black man living in the United States. One night, a comet appears in the sky, causing panic and fear among the people. As the comet gets closer, Jim Davis reflects on his life and the injustices he has faced as a black man in a racist society.
