Synopsis

The Hitcher is a thriller film directed by Robert Harmon. The story follows a young man named Jim Halsey who picks up a hitchhiker named John Ryder on a lonely road. Ryder turns out to be a psychopathic killer who terrorizes Jim throughout the film.

As Jim tries to escape from Ryder's clutches, he becomes the prime suspect in a series of murders committed by the hitchhiker. The tension builds as Jim races against time to prove his innocence and stop Ryder before he kills again.
