Synopsis

After being fire bombed out of her home, Bernadette packs up her four children and leaves Edinburgh to travel to London in search of her worthless, currently-missing husband Spendlove. Realising that Spendlove plans to dump them, Bernadette, in shear desperation, commits a rash jewelry robbery using the children as decoys. Now on the run, the family head for home stealing cars and committing more daring daylight robberies as they go! In hot pursuit is detective Julia Armstrong who always seems to be one step behind. After one final audacious bank robbery Spendlove leaves the rest of the family to fend for themselves. Desperate to escape the ever closing police net, Frank, Spendlove's brother comes to their rescue but both he and Bernadette realize it is only a matter of time before the relentless police led by Julia will catch them!
