Synopsis

The Last Man is a post-apocalyptic novel written by Mary Shelley. The story is set in the late 21st century, where a deadly plague has wiped out most of the world's population. The protagonist, Lionel Verney, finds himself as the last man alive in a desolate world.

As Lionel struggles to survive in this new world, he grapples with loneliness, despair, and the weight of being the sole survivor. He embarks on a journey to find other survivors, but soon realizes that he may truly be the last man on Earth.

The Last Man explores themes of isolation, loss, and the fragility of human existence. It serves as a cautionary tale about the consequences of unchecked power and the destructive nature of humanity.
