Choke tells the story of Henry, an uptight businessman with questionable ethics, who is approached by Ron, a scam artist looking for a partner. Despite Ron's persistence, Henry rejects him.
Ron, however, discovers a secret that could ruin Henry's life: his daughter Gina was involved in a hit-and-run accident that resulted in a pedestrian's death. To protect Gina, Henry is forced to dispose of Ron.
Unfortunately, a murderous sociopath witnesses the crime, leading Henry to form an unlikely bond with this stranger. They share stories from their pasts, and Henry agrees to help the stranger get rid of one of his victims' bodies.
Will this act solidify a partnership between Henry and the stranger, freeing Henry and Gina from danger? Or will the stranger use this leverage to threaten them both?
