Synopsis

The Rose Seller

The story begins with Sandra, a 10-year-old kid, who runs from her home to her friend Monica, who introduces her to part of the "squad" - Yudi and "la cachetona". They all work selling roses in the night clubs. Then she meets Milton and Anderson, two kids who work selling drugs in the streets.

While in the slums of the city, Norman A.K.A el zarco, is with his gang "don hetor", "el enano", and "el primo", consuming drugs around the slums and looking for the next victim to steal from. El zarco kills a guy for not wanting to share his weed and then stole his money and a watch, which makes don hetor (the boss) very upset and makes the zarco feel resentment.

Monica and Sandra go around the city while working as rose sellers. In this journey, Sandra gets to see what it's like to live in the streets, drug consumption, prostitution, and car thieving. Monica's trauma with her mother's death makes her have hallucinations of her dead mother, which takes her to visit her sister. But on her way there, she gets robbed by el zarco, who decides to take her watch and give her the one that he stole, to later tell her that she needed to give it back or she would get killed.

While his old band is looking for him for the heat that he provoked with the killing, Sandra and Monica keep trying to go home for the 24th night celebration (Christmas in Colombia is during the 24th night). Sandra comes home and talks to her mother to go back, while Monica was not so lucky. El zarco, running away from his old gang, finds Monica laying in the remains of her dead mother's house and kills her for not having the watch. Right after this, el primo and el enano kill el zarco.
