Synopsis

In New York City, Hilda has a large package to mail, but it won't fit in the box, so she will have to take it the post office. Back home with her cat, Hilda gets a nasty surprise.

Hilda's ex Harry and his partner Norman are playing poker, and Harry bets his '69 Cadillac, which gets stolen. The villains are driving a '70 Cadillac, which looks similar. When they get caught cheating, Harry and Norman have to make a quick getaway. They return to a large industrial building where Harry is building a giant lizard for Ruben's dance club. The lizard appears to consist of trash, TV screens, and Christmas lights.

A pretty girl named Rachel knocks on the door. It turns out she is a skip tracer with a summons. Hilda wants back alimony, but she makes more than Harry, who can't possibly pay it. Harry knows loopholes to keep Rachel from doing her job, so Rachel has to go back to her boss Arnold frustrated. Rachel is destined to keep doing grunt work until she gets an opportunity for a good case. Arnold is typical of people in his position, and unlikely to take Rachel seriously.

Hilda asks Harry for help with her package but Harry gets a nasty surprise when he goes to her place. Harry fears he may be a suspect in a murder! And the case Rachel dreamed of may be hers. She is so excited.

As Honest Tom T. Murray announces lottery numbers on TV, we learn he may not live up to his name (does anyone who has "Honest" in his name?). We also learn that several goons are after the device contained in the package, which has some connection to a lottery scam.

At Ruben's club, Ralph's tough ex Gem also wants this device. Ruben's club is eventually destroyed in the chaos, and a chase through New York City, Staten Island and New Jersey results.

Later, a large ship is the setting for an announcement by Murray which could win someone millions.
