The nine accused are brought to Liverpool Crown Court, outside of which there is a racist demonstration. Holly is the first prosecution witness via a CCTV link and, despite the defendants' barristers onslaught on her, she is open and honest in her testimony, earning her parents' love and respect. With Amber's delusional attitude preventing her from giving evidence, Ruby is the next, equally convincing witness, leading to the press gunning for the Rotherham police's ineptitude in handling the original case. All of the accused are found guilty and imprisoned. Maggie, however, sees a flaw in the operation, suspecting further grooming involving Amber, which she uses to provide closure. An end title brings up-to-date the fates of those concerned--two of them being shamefully treated. It also lists the many areas of Britain where the grooming of underage girls has been exposed.
