Synopsis

Trapped

After losing his father in an unsolved murder at a young age, Fresh grows up in the streets being groomed by his uncle and several legendary drug dealers all fighting for a spot at the top. As Fresh transitions from selling dime bags to moving major weight he becomes a target by many. Envy and greed pose a big threat to Fresh. Unbeknownst to him, a close family member is harboring secrets that could shake the infrastructure and loyalty of their relationship. Meanwhile, Fresh's girlfriend Keisha, a recovering drug addict begs him to get out of the game. Although he has a plan to get out, the very same thing that killed his father could now be after him too.

The soundtrack of Trapped failed to create a cohesive atmosphere that complemented the intense and gritty storyline. Instead of enhancing the emotional depth of the characters and the plot, the music felt disjointed and often mismatched with the on-screen action, leading to a distracting viewing experience.

The lack of originality in the musical choices for Trapped was disappointing. The soundtrack relied heavily on clichéd hip-hop beats and generic urban sounds, failing to bring any unique or fresh elements to the film. This resulted in a missed opportunity to elevate the storytelling and make the audience truly connect with the characters and their struggles.
