Synopsis

Ben Valentine (Rhys Muldoon) has been totally lost to the world. Drunk and aimless, he finds himself in trouble with the law in the small Victorian town of Rushworth. Misidentified as famed AFL footballer Ben Valentine, he is sentenced to 200 hours of community service...in the form of coaching the town's 'Hopeless' football team. On the brink of demise, if they don't win three of the next four games, they'll not only have to merge with their arch-rivals, but they'll also sell off their beloved pie factory, Dick's. For the tight-knit and proud community, the future looks bleak. With so much at stake in the outcome of the next two games, Ben begins to realize how important his role is and begins to care for this football-mad community. But can you make it? Will the town accept who this homeless man really is?
