Synopsis

War Machine is a satirical war film that follows the rise and fall of a four-star general in the United States military. The film is based on the true story of General Stanley McChrystal, who led the American forces in Afghanistan.

The story is told from the perspective of a journalist who is embedded with the general's team and witnesses the chaos and dysfunction that plagues the war effort. As the general's hubris and arrogance become more apparent, the journalist must decide whether to expose the truth or protect his career.
