Synopsis

Willard is a psychological horror film that tells the story of a socially awkward young man named Willard Stiles. Willard lives with his overbearing mother in a decaying mansion and works at a dead-end job where he is constantly belittled by his boss.

One day, Willard discovers that he has the ability to communicate with rats and befriends a group of them, including a large white rat named Socrates. As Willard's bond with the rats grows stronger, he begins to use them to seek revenge on those who have wronged him.

As Willard's mental state deteriorates, his actions become more and more erratic and violent, leading to a chilling climax that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats.

Starring Crispin Glover in the title role, Willard is a gripping and unsettling film that explores themes of isolation, revenge, and the darkness that can lurk within us all.

I found the musical score of Willard to be a bit repetitive at times, with certain themes becoming predictable. While it effectively builds tension in key moments, I wish there had been more variety in the soundtrack to keep the audience engaged throughout the entire film.
