Sinopsis
"Luz de gas" como farsa farsi. Kamran y Moluk, hermanos de mediana edad, viven sin un centavo en la mansión de la familia en Teherán, vendiendo muebles para pagar los gastos. Su hermano, dueño de la casa, murió repentinamente, y su viuda, Forugh, viene de las provincias para visitar. Kamran escribe un guión elaborado y contrata a un grupo de cinco actores para que sean los sirvientes domésticos. El propósito de la farsa, que le parecerá real a Forugh, es volverla loca, tal vez al suicidio, para que Kamran y Moluk puedan heredar la casa. La obra es elaborada, Forugh está engañada y aterrorizada, y la policía no puede corroborar sus alocadas afirmaciones. Ella les parece loca. Todo se encamina hacia el misterioso último acto.
