Sinopsis
En el verano de 2015, el ex marine estadounidense y levantador de pesas récord mundial Matt "Kroc" Kroczaleski fue denunciado públicamente como transgénero. La reacción fue universal: sus patrocinadores la abandonaron, sus padres la repudiaron, le prohibieron competir y se cambió el nombre a "Janae". Esta película sigue a Janae mientras intenta encontrar su lugar en la sociedad. Inicialmente queriendo quitarse el músculo y convertirse en una mujer de aspecto mucho más pequeño, se encontró incapaz de perder el músculo que había ganado tan desesperadamente.
