Synopsis

Après que son père a été renversé en tant que roi chrétien de Scandia, son fils Prince Valiant se rend à la cour du roi Arthur à Camelot dans l'espoir d'être fait chevalier de la Table Ronde.

En chemin, il a une rencontre avec un Chevalier Noir, dont les mouvements mystérieux ont suscité de l'inquiétude à Camelot.

Avant que Valiant ne devienne chevalier, il doit d'abord servir en tant qu'écuyer, et Sir Gawain prend la responsabilité de le former aux compétences du combat chevaleresque.

Valiant rencontre finalement la belle Aleta, fille du roi de l'Ord; en présentant Gawain à son nouvel amour, Valiant donne à Gawain l'impression erronée qu'Aleta est amoureuse de lui, puis fait la chose honorable en refusant de dissiper les pensées romantiques de l'ancien chevalier à son sujet.

Valiant et Aleta sont faits prisonniers par des Vikings mais parviennent à s'échapper et aident à contrecarrer un complot du Chevalier Noir visant à renverser le roi Arthur.
