Synopsis

Tai-Pan est un roman historique écrit par James Clavell. L'histoire se déroule à Hong Kong au XIXe siècle et suit les aventures de Dirk Struan, un marchand écossais qui devient le Tai-Pan, le chef suprême du commerce britannique en Chine.

Dirk Struan doit faire face à de nombreux défis, y compris la rivalité avec d'autres marchands et les tensions politiques entre la Chine et la Grande-Bretagne. Il doit également naviguer dans un monde de trahison, de violence et de passion.
