Sinossi

Lev Syrkin era un artista di successo a Mosca che sognava di perseguire la libertà artistica e personale in Israele. Abbandonò la sua reputazione in Russia e si trasferì in Israele con tutta la sua famiglia, solo per essere accolto dall'indifferenza verso l'arte del mosaico che praticava. Il regista Daniel Syrkin intraprende un viaggio attraverso Israele, tracciando amorevolmente le lotte, i risultati e le speranze del suo tenace padre immigrato come artista. Lungo la strada, il sogno più grande di suo padre diventa quello di Daniele: la creazione di un enorme mosaico raffigurante la colomba della pace nel cuore di Gerusalemme. Quando questo sogno viene rianimato, padre e figlio incontrano apatia e delusione, ma con un pizzico di ottimismo, che alimenta solo la loro dedizione all'arte pubblica.
