Sinossi

Basato sul diario di Anna Frank e sulla pièce teatrale adattata da esso: In Olanda occupata dai nazisti, Otto Frank e la sua famiglia hanno deciso di nascondersi a causa delle crescenti persecuzioni contro gli ebrei. Il commerciante Kraler e la sua assistente Miep preparano un nascondiglio nelle stanze sopra il loro luogo di lavoro e organizzano affinché i Franks e un'altra famiglia, i Van Daans, possano rimanere lì. In seguito, vengono raggiunti dal dentista Dussel. Insieme, cercano di evitare di essere scoperti mentre sperano che l'Olanda venga liberata dagli Alleati, ma anche soddisfare i bisogni di base può diventare una sfida e anche incidenti minori potrebbero presentare un grave rischio.

Le melodie delicate e malinconiche creano un'atmosfera di tristezza e nostalgia, che si adatta perfettamente al tema del film e al contesto storico in cui è ambientato.

La colonna sonora de Il diario di Anna Frank non è riuscita a catturare pienamente l'atmosfera di tensione e paura vissuta dalla famiglia Frank e dagli altri rifugiati durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Le musiche non sono riuscite a trasmettere in modo efficace la drammaticità della situazione e spesso sembravano fuori contesto rispetto alle scene mostrate sullo schermo.
