Sinopse

Dan Gallagher é um advogado de sucesso em Nova York, com uma bela esposa, Beth, e uma filha de 6 anos que passa um fim de semana com uma editora de livros, Alex Forrest.

Até onde Dan está preocupado, é apenas uma vez, mas Alex tem algo mais em mente, como ela demonstra amplamente antes que o fim de semana termine.

Quando ele deixa claro que não há futuro para eles, Alex começa a procurá-lo, ligando constantemente para ele em casa ou no trabalho e até visitando seu apartamento, que está à venda, e conhecendo Beth.

A obsessão de Alex não conhece limites e ela se torna cada vez mais violenta, colocando a vida de Dan - e de sua família - em perigo.
