Sinopse
Freddie Clegg não tem certeza se pode realizar seu plano para "ela" até que ele tropeça em uma casa isolada à venda no campo inglês, a casa que ele avista enquanto está colecionando borboletas. A "ela" é a estudante de arte baseada em Londres, Miranda Grey, o plano de sequestrá-la e mantê-la cativa. Assim como ele ama suas borboletas, Freddie ama Miranda, mas de longe. Em sua mente, seu amor por ela é baseado no respeito por ela como pessoa e não em desejo físico. Então, quando ele consegue sequestrá-la e mantê-la refém no porão de sua casa recém-comprada, ela, sem saber quem ele é, fica surpresa que ele não está procurando dinheiro de resgate ou para agredi-la sexualmente. Ele tenta respeitar seus desejos, exceto o desejo mais importante de deixá-la ir. Enquanto ela tenta entender o que ele quer dela, eles negociam os termos de sua captura.
