Sinopse
O psiquiatra Marc Laxroix é um cientista estudioso dos cérebros de criminosos. Ele tem um casamento infeliz e sem amor com sua esposa Marie Lacroix e eles têm um filho, Léonard Lacroix. Marc também tem uma amante, Marianne, que também é sua confidente.
Marc secretamente construiu uma máquina para estudar a mente de uma pessoa para outra em sua casa antiga, mas ainda não a testou, e Marianne é a única pessoa que sabe. Quando o serial killer Michel Zyto é condenado à prisão perpétua na instituição onde Marc trabalha, ele decide estudar a mente do psicopata.
Então ele traz Zyto para usar a máquina e suas mentes são trocadas. Quando Marc pede a Zyto para pressionar um botão verde para restaurar suas mentes, Zyto se recusa e usa o corpo de Marc para trancar Marc preso em seu corpo na instituição. Além disso, ele vai para a casa de Marc para ficar com sua família.
