An outlaw thug, trapped in an isolated village near the borders, attempts to escape to the neighboring country. He captures a peaceful winemaker, taking him hostage in his own home, while the authorities tighten the noose around him. After the death of his wife fifteen years ago, the winemaker was forced to raise his daughter alone. In the interest of protecting her he conceals the truth; he tells his captor to pretend that he is an immigrant working as his bottling assistant. The daughter's love for the intruder will put her relationship with her father at test. After killing two police officers who had identified him in cold blood, the winemaker is petrified while his daughter remains charmed. She realizes her father has been lying to her, which makes her decide to cover for the stranger and help him cross the border, right after going to the capital to get him money and a false passport.
