Synopsis

AC/DC: Let There Be Rock is a movie featuring AC/DC live at the Pavillion De Paris on December 9, 1979, during the tour that would be singer Bon Scott's last.

After almost ten minutes of glimpses at the backstage life, the real movie starts as the band is introduced playing live on stage. Although the band is still in their '70s minimalist era with few stage effects and pyrotechnics, the live performance is considered one of the best and most energetic of their career.

The live concert is intercut with quasi-fictional interviews with the members of the band. The interviews took place in Reims, France, two days before the concert.

User reviews

Margaret Carter
6/10

The sound quality of the live recordings is impressive, considering the technology available at that time. Each instrument cuts through the mix with clarity, showcasing the musicianship and tightness of the band's performance.

4/10

Another issue with the soundtrack is that the audio quality of some of the live recordings is not up to par. There are moments where the vocals sound muffled or distorted, making it difficult to fully appreciate the performance. This detracts from the overall listening experience and can be frustrating for fans of the band.

George Mitchell
6/10

The combination of live recordings and fictional interviews adds depth to the overall listening experience. It gives fans a glimpse into the band's lifestyle and mindset during that era, making the soundtrack not just a collection of songs, but a storytelling journey.
