Synopsis

Body of Influence follows Beverly Hills shrink Dr. Jonathan Brooks (Nick Cassavetes) who appears to have it all: wealth, a successful practice, and a beautiful lawyer fiancée, Jennifer (Diana Barton).

Brooks is assisting his cop friend Harry Reams (Richard Roundtress) in creating a psychological profile of a serial killer terrorizing Los Angeles.

At the same time, he begins treating a new patient, Laura (Shannon Whirry), who under hypnosis transforms into a seductive persona named Lana.

A passionate affair ensues between Lana and Brooks, but things take a dark turn when Lana blackmails him with stolen videotapes of his sessions with other patients.

As Brooks navigates this dangerous situation, Harry Reams gets closer to identifying the elusive serial killer.

The lyrics seemed disconnected from the scenes they accompanied, breaking the immersion and taking away from the emotional impact of certain moments. I believe a more cohesive selection of songs could have improved the overall cohesion of the soundtrack and made it more effective in enhancing the storytelling.
