Synopsis

Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 is set in 2039-2040 in Megalo City, a city built over the ruins of Tokyo. Boomers, android workers created by the Genom Corporation, perform various tasks ranging from cleaning to heavy industry.

However, a strange series of events has caused many boomers to go rogue, despite government and corporation cover-ups. The AD Police, an anti-Boomer task-force, tries to stop these maniacal machines.

Always a step ahead are the mysterious vigilantes known as the Knight Sabers. No one knows their true identities, but a young office lady named Lina Yamazaki is determined to find out and join them.
