CALL ME BY YOUR NAME, the new film by Luca Guadagnino, is a sensual and transcendent tale of first love, based on the acclaimed novel by André Aciman.

It's the summer of 1983 in the north of Italy, and Elio Perlman (Timothée Chalamet), a precocious 17-year-old young man, spends his days in his family's 17th-century villa transcribing and playing classical music, reading, and flirting with his friend Marzia (Esther Garrel).

Elio enjoys a close relationship with his father (Michael Stuhlbarg), an eminent professor specializing in Greco-Roman culture, and his mother Annella (Amira Casar), a translator, who favor him with the fruits of high culture in a setting that overflows with natural delights.

While Elio's sophistication and intellectual gifts suggest he is already a fully-fledged adult, there is much that yet remains innocent and unformed about him, particularly about matters of the heart.

One day, Oliver (Armie Hammer), a 24-year-old American college graduate student working on his doctorate, arrives as the annual summer intern tasked with helping Elio's father.

Amid the sun-drenched splendor of the setting, Elio and Oliver discover the heady beauty of awakening desire over the course of a summer that will alter their lives forever.

Kenneth Perez

The soundtrack of Call Me by Your Name is a work of art in its own right, capable of evoking a wide range of emotions and memories long after the film has ended, making it a truly unforgettable musical experience.

Donna Perez

The soundtrack's seamless integration of classical pieces with contemporary songs creates a harmonious blend that mirrors the evolving relationship between Elio and Oliver, capturing the complexity of their feelings.

Ashley Wilson

The soundtrack of Call Me by Your Name perfectly captures the essence of a sun-soaked summer in Italy, creating a dreamy and nostalgic atmosphere that enhances the emotional depth of the film.

Timothy Williams

The soundtrack of Call Me by Your Name perfectly captures the essence of the film, enhancing the emotional depth and sensuality of the story. Each piece of music complements the scenes beautifully, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere that immerses the audience in the characters' journey.

John Evans

The use of classical music in the soundtrack adds a layer of sophistication and elegance to the film, reflecting Elio's character and his passion for music. The haunting melodies and harmonies evoke a sense of longing and desire, perfectly mirroring the complex emotions experienced by the characters as they navigate the tumultuous waters of first love.

Betty Robinson

The original songs in the soundtrack, such as Mystery of Love by Sufjan Stevens, beautifully complement the emotional depth of the story, adding an extra layer of poignancy to key moments in the film.

Sarah Moore

The instrumental pieces in the soundtrack evoke a sense of longing and melancholy, perfectly complementing the film's themes of love, discovery, and self-realization.

Mary Campbell

The soundtrack of Call Me by Your Name failed to capture the emotional depth and complexity of the characters' experiences. The music felt disconnected from the story and at times even distracting, taking away from the film's overall impact.

Melissa Hernandez

The choice of songs in the soundtrack did not resonate with the time period and setting of the film. The anachronistic music pulled me out of the immersive experience of watching a story set in 1983 Italy, making it difficult to fully engage with the narrative.

Donna Roberts

The soundtrack of Call Me by Your Name perfectly captures the nostalgic and romantic atmosphere of the film, transporting the listener to the summer of 1983 in Italy.

Kimberly Clark

While some individual tracks in the soundtrack were pleasant to listen to, as a whole, the musical selection lacked cohesion and failed to enhance the overall mood and atmosphere of the film. The music felt like an afterthought rather than a carefully curated element that complemented the visuals and emotions portrayed on screen.

David Hernandez

The use of classical music in the soundtrack enhances the elegance and sophistication portrayed in the film, creating a sense of timelessness that resonates with the themes of first love and self-discovery.

Melissa Baker

The music selection, ranging from classical pieces to 80s pop hits, is masterfully curated to mirror the characters' evolving emotions and relationships, adding a layer of richness to the storytelling.

William Turner

The music in Call Me by Your Name serves as a powerful emotional anchor, intensifying the impact of pivotal scenes and allowing the audience to immerse themselves fully in the characters' experiences.

Edward Baker

Each track in the film's soundtrack feels like a carefully chosen piece of a larger puzzle, contributing to the overall mood and enhancing the audience's connection to the characters and their experiences.

Kenneth Harris

The use of music in Call Me by Your Name is so integral to the storytelling that it almost becomes a character in itself, guiding the audience through the characters' journey of self-discovery and transformation.

Carol Green

Overall, the soundtrack of Call Me by Your Name is a work of art in itself, enhancing the film's narrative and emotional resonance with its carefully curated selection of music.
