Synopsis

"Circumstance" is a gripping drama that follows the lives of two teenage girls, Atafeh and Shireen, as they navigate the complexities of their friendship and their oppressive society in Iran.

Atafeh comes from a wealthy and liberal family, while Shireen's family is more conservative. Despite their differences, the two girls share a deep bond and a desire for freedom.

As they explore their sexuality and rebel against the restrictions placed on them by their families and society, their friendship is put to the test.

When Atafeh's brother Mehran becomes increasingly radicalized and starts spying on them, their lives take a dangerous turn.

The film explores themes of love, friendship, and the struggle for autonomy in a society that seeks to control every aspect of their lives.
