Synopsis

Count Duckula is a centuries-old vampire who has been killed many times and resurrected by his servants. Each resurrection creates a new incarnation of the Count with little memory of his past life, allowing him to develop his own personality and interests. The various incarnations pose as a dynasty of vicious vampires.

The series begins with Nanny, a dim-witted servant, accidentally using ketchup instead of blood in the resurrection ceremony. This results in the current incarnation of Duckula being a vegetarian vampire with no evil intentions. Igor, a sinister servant, spends the series trying to convert Duckula back to his dark ways.

The new Duckula wants to become an entertainer and seeks fame and fortune while traveling the world in his teleporting castle. However, the teleportation has a time limit, causing him to return home in every episode, thwarting his success.

Doctor Von Goosewing, a vampire hunter parodying Abraham Van Helsing, relentlessly pursues Duckula, refusing to believe he has changed. The doctor's failing eyesight leads to many blunders, including speaking to his unseen assistant who quit years ago.
