Synopsis

Dirty John is a thrilling drama series that follows the story of Debra Newell (Connie Britton), a successful and beautiful woman living in Newport Beach, California. Despite her seemingly perfect life, Debra is missing one thing: love.

When she meets the charming and handsome doctor John Meehan (Eric Bana), Debra is quickly swept into a whirlwind romance, much to the dismay of her daughters Terra (Julia Garner) and Veronica (Juno Temple). Their fast-tracked relationship creates tension between Debra and her daughters, leading them to investigate the stranger who has captured their mother's heart.

As Debra delves deeper into John's lies and manipulative tactics, the dark truth behind his intentions begins to unravel. With a complicated family history and the influence of her mother Arlane (Jean Smart), Debra's vulnerability to John becomes clearer.

As the story unfolds, the consequences of Debra's involvement with John become increasingly horrific, impacting the entire family in ways they never could have imagined.
