Synopsis

The Extensionist is a novel written by Mexican author Luvina Maganda. The story follows the life of a young man named Juan who works as an extensionist in a rural community in Mexico.

Juan's job is to help the local farmers improve their agricultural practices and increase their crop yields. However, he soon realizes that the problems facing the community are much deeper than he initially thought.

As Juan delves deeper into the lives of the farmers, he uncovers a web of corruption, poverty, and exploitation that has plagued the community for generations. Determined to make a difference, Juan must navigate the complex social and political dynamics of the village while also confronting his own personal demons.

The Extensionist is a powerful and thought-provoking novel that explores themes of social justice, environmental sustainability, and the impact of globalization on rural communities.
