Douzi wants more from the friendship, but Shitou doesn't answer his advances. The situation becomes worse when courtesan Juxian manipulates Shitou into rescuing her from the brothel House of Blossoms and marrying her.

I found the soundtrack of Farewell My Concubine to be lacking in emotional depth. The music failed to capture the intense struggles and complexities faced by the characters in the film. It felt detached and did not enhance the viewing experience for me.

Moreover, I felt that the soundtrack did not effectively convey the cultural and historical context of 1924 China. The music seemed generic and did not immerse me in the setting of the film. I believe a more nuanced and culturally authentic approach to the music could have added a deeper layer of storytelling to the movie.
