Synopsis

Four Days in September is a Brazilian drama film based on the true story of the 1969 kidnapping of the American ambassador to Brazil, Charles Burke Elbrick, by a group of leftist militants.

The film follows the four days in which the ambassador is held captive, as well as the negotiations between the kidnappers and the Brazilian government.

As tensions rise and the situation becomes increasingly volatile, the film explores the motivations of both the kidnappers and the government officials involved.
