Synopsis

Fruits Basket is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Natsuki Takaya. The story follows a high school girl named Tohru Honda who, after a series of unfortunate events, ends up living with the mysterious Sohma family.

What Tohru soon discovers is that the Sohma family is cursed. Twelve members of the family are possessed by the animals of the Chinese zodiac, and when hugged by the opposite sex, they transform into their respective animals.

As Tohru gets to know each member of the Sohma family, she learns about their past traumas and struggles. Through her kindness and understanding, she helps them confront their demons and heal from their emotional wounds.

Fruits Basket is a heartwarming and emotional story about love, friendship, and acceptance. It explores themes of family, identity, and the power of compassion in overcoming adversity.
