Synopsis

Gas Food Lodging is a 1992 American drama film directed by Allison Anders. The story follows a single mother and her two daughters living in a small New Mexico town.

The mother, Nora, works at a local gas station while her daughters, Trudi and Shade, struggle with their own personal issues. Trudi is a rebellious teenager who dreams of leaving town, while Shade is more introverted and finds solace in watching old movies.

As the family navigates their individual challenges, they also come to terms with their relationships with each other and the men in their lives. The film explores themes of family, love, and the search for identity.
