Synopsis

Gebo and the Shadow is a film directed by Manoel de Oliveira. The story follows Gebo, a retired accountant who lives with his wife and daughter. Gebo's son, João, is a fugitive who has been on the run for years. One day, João returns home and asks Gebo for money. Gebo, who has been hiding a secret from his family, is faced with a difficult decision. As the truth comes to light, Gebo must confront his past and the shadows that have haunted him for years.
