Synopsis

With the birthday party for the most beautiful girl in class in less than three weeks, shy fourteen-year-old Maik has a lot on his mind. To further complicate matters, Maik's mother, an alcohol addict and tennis enthusiast, is in and out of the beauty salon, also known as a rehab center, and her father, a real estate developer, is completely indifferent. Under those circumstances, the unexpected arrival of exciting new classmate Tschick will create quite a stir, as the class rejects boldly decided to hit the road in an old "borrowed" light blue Lada, going from dowdy to cool. in a fraction of a second. Little by little, as Tschick and Maik embark on an unforgettable joyride in the great outdoors of East Germany, they will discover the meaning of friendship and the thrill of first love.
