Synopsis

Gyoei no mure is a Japanese novel written by Yukio Mishima. It tells the story of a group of young men who form a secret society called the "Gyoei Group" in order to rebel against the conformist society they live in. The group is led by a charismatic and enigmatic leader who inspires them to challenge the norms and values of their time.

As the group becomes more radical in their actions, they begin to question the true motives of their leader and the consequences of their rebellion. The novel explores themes of youth, rebellion, and the search for meaning in a world that seems devoid of purpose.

Through the characters of the Gyoei Group, Mishima delves into the complexities of human nature and the desire for freedom and self-expression. The novel is a powerful and thought-provoking exploration of the struggles and aspirations of a generation caught between tradition and modernity.
