Synopsis

An off-beat portrait of kids living in East London: An Essex boy sings a Country and Western love song; a young girl, Carmen, with her singing dog; two strange bone-collecting boys living in a caravan on a farm in Stepney Green. These portraits hang on the central story of Danielle, a young girl who attempts suicide but finds solace in the story of 'The Pig of Happiness'.
