Synopsis

Bridget Jones's Diary follows the story of Bridget Jones (Renée Zellweger), an average woman who is struggling against various aspects of her life such as her age, weight, job, lack of a man, and her imperfections.

As a New Year's Resolution, Bridget decides to take control of her life by starting to keep a diary where she will always tell the complete truth.

The story takes an interesting turn when her charming but disreputable boss shows interest in Bridget, adding a new dynamic to her life.

Thrown into the mix are Bridget's slightly eccentric friends and a disagreeable acquaintance who Bridget can't seem to avoid, despite finding them quietly attractive.
