Synopsis

Lean on Pete is a story about a teenage boy named Charley who forms a bond with a failing racehorse named Lean on Pete. Charley is living with his single father in Portland, Oregon, and finds solace in the company of the horse after facing a series of challenges in his life.

As Charley's relationship with Lean on Pete deepens, he becomes determined to save the horse from being sold for slaughter. Together, they embark on a journey across the American West in search of a new home and a better life.
