In the eighteen years that the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) was stationed in southern Lebanon, its soldiers were subject to guerrilla and terror attacks. On the eve of the 1996 elections, a Lebanese camera man rushed to film the aftermath of a terror attack against an IDF convoy in Southern Lebanon. He ended up shooting a second blast that killed 4 Israeli soldiers. "Lebanon doesn't believe in tears" follows the Harush family, who lost their son in the filmed attack. The IDf escorts them into enemy territory, to visit the site of their son's death.
