Tramontane is a story about Rabih, a young blind man living in a small village in Lebanon. He is a member of a choir and earns a living by editing Braille documents.
One day, Rabih's life takes a drastic turn when he tries to apply for a passport and discovers that his identification card, which he has carried his whole life, is actually a forgery.
As Rabih embarks on a journey across rural Lebanon to find a record of his own birth, he encounters people on the fringes of society who share their own stories with him. These encounters raise more questions and provide Rabih with small clues about his true identity.
As Rabih delves deeper into the mystery of his existence, he finds himself confronting a nation that is unable to tell its own narrative, leaving him in a void at the core of his being.
