Synopsis

Love Live!: School Idol Project is a Japanese multimedia project co-developed by ASCII Media Works' Dengeki G's Magazine, music label Lantis, and animation studio Sunrise. The project revolves around a group of nine schoolgirls who become idols in order to save their school from shutting down.

The story follows Honoka Kosaka, a second-year student at Otonokizaka Academy in Tokyo. When she learns that her school is facing closure due to a lack of applicants, Honoka decides to form a school idol group to attract more students and save the school. Along with her friends Umi Sonoda and Kotori Minami, Honoka sets out to recruit more members and compete in idol competitions.

As the group, known as μ's (pronounced "muse"), gains popularity and success, they face challenges and obstacles that test their friendship and determination. Through their journey, the girls learn the true meaning of teamwork, perseverance, and the power of music to bring people together.
