Synopsis

My Fellow Citizens is a story about Yang Jung Kook, a veteran conman who has never been arrested. One day, his girlfriend runs off with the money they were going to use for their marriage, leaving him extremely upset. Yang Jung Kook meets Kim Mi Young, who is going through a hard time herself due to her boyfriend's cheating ways. Despite their initial deception, they find comfort with each other and develop a romantic relationship.

On their wedding day, Kim Mi Young reveals to Yang Jung Kook that she is actually a detective. Meanwhile, a mysterious woman named Park Hoo Ja, who runs a private loan business inherited from her father, blackmails Yang Jung Kook into running for a national assembly seat after her father was swindled by him.
