"New Tricks" The Little Brother Soundtrack (2013)

Synopsis

At his wife Esther's urging, Brian agrees to try and learn what happened to Margaret Kirby's brother Peter Sale who disappeared some 6 years ago. They hadn't kept in contact much and she believed he had gone to New Zealand but when she tried to contact him a few months ago, he was nowhere to be found. Sale was a witness in the Florence Epstein murder case as he was her accountant and the courts eventually convicted her husband Jonathan Epstein of the crime. Brian meets Epstein who points him in the direction of Peter's friend Lawrence Archer. Brian finds Archer dead and it's connected to a case the UCOS team is currently investigating. The trail leads Brian to find the remains of Annabelle Skinner, Jonathan Epstein's accomplice in the murder, and the conclusion that there's a very good reason why Peter Sale cannot be found. Meanwhile, Brian is being pestered by journalist Maxine Wilson who claims she has received information he mishandled one of his old cases. He initially blames DAC Strickland for the leak but soon realizes it must be his old nemesis Embleton.
