Night of the Living Deb is a story set on the Eve of July 4th in Portland, Maine. The main character, Deb Clarington, is a camerawoman and aspiring anchor who is out drinking with her best friend Ruby in a bar.
Deb meets a handsome stranger and they drink a lot together. The next morning, she wakes up in his apartment in an awkward situation as they both don't remember what happened the night before.
As Deb leaves the apartment, she discovers that a zombie apocalypse has taken over the town. She returns to the apartment and finds out that the man she was with is Ryan Waverly, the son of wealthy Frank Waverly who supplies water to the town.
Despite wanting to leave Portland to meet her mother, Ryan convinces Deb to go to his father's mansion to meet his brother Chaz Waverly and his girlfriend Stacy, with a plan to leave the town together.
Deb soon learns that Frank and the Governor are responsible for the outbreak. The question remains: will they be able to escape from the zombies?
