Synopsis

One Cut of the Dead is a Japanese comedy-horror film that follows a film crew shooting a low-budget zombie movie in an abandoned warehouse. The director, Higurashi, is known for his unorthodox methods and pushes his actors to their limits.

However, things take a turn for the worse when real zombies start attacking the crew. As chaos ensues, the director sees this as an opportunity to capture real fear and excitement on film.

The film then takes a meta twist as it is revealed that the chaotic first 37 minutes of the movie were actually a single take, with the crew facing real zombies. The rest of the film shows the behind-the-scenes struggles and challenges the crew faced to create the final product.
