Original Gangstas is a 1996 American action crime film directed by Larry Cohen. The film stars a number of well-known actors from the blaxploitation genre, including Fred Williamson, Pam Grier, Jim Brown, and Richard Roundtree.
The story follows a group of former gang members who reunite in their hometown to take on a new gang that has been terrorizing the community. As they work together to bring down the new threat, they must confront their pasts and come to terms with the choices they made in their youth.
Original Gangstas is a nostalgic throwback to the blaxploitation films of the 1970s, with plenty of action, drama, and memorable one-liners. The film pays homage to the genre while also updating it for a modern audience.
