Synopsis

Pecker is a young adult who works at a sandwich shop/deli during the day and enjoys taking pictures of his dysfunctional family, the eccentric residents of Baltimore, and various places and things around the city in his free time.

One day, at his own art show at the shop, New York art dealer Rorey Wheeler purchases one of Pecker's "modern pictures" and invites Pecker's girlfriend Shelley, his best friend Matt, his parents Jimmy and Joyce, his daughter Tina, his young daughter Chrissy, and his religious grandmother Memama to an art gallery in New York City.

Pecker quickly becomes an overnight art sensation nationwide, but faces serious problems back home as many residents are appalled and embarrassed by his pictures, causing him to lose more than just his friends. It's up to Pecker to reconcile with Shelley and help people see the good and bad in photography.

The soundtrack of Pecker is not only enjoyable to listen to on its own, but it also seamlessly integrates with the visuals, creating a cohesive and immersive cinematic experience. The music enhances the themes of the film and adds another layer of richness to the storytelling, making it a standout element of the movie.

William Lewis
7/10

The soundtrack of Pecker perfectly captures the quirky and eccentric vibe of the film, enhancing the viewing experience with its energetic and eclectic mix of songs.

Stephanie Campbell
1/10

The soundtrack of Pecker fails to capture the quirky and eclectic essence of the characters and settings in the film. It lacks depth and originality, feeling generic and uninspired.

Kimberly Allen
9/10

The music in Pecker manages to evoke a wide range of emotions, from lighthearted and fun to introspective and emotional. The soundtrack effectively sets the tone for each scene, adding depth and enhancing the overall viewing experience. It's a testament to the power of music in enhancing storytelling.

Donna Miller
2/10

The soundtrack of Pecker lacks cohesion and a sense of direction, making it difficult to establish a strong connection with the characters and their journeys. The music feels like an afterthought rather than a vital component of the film.

Elizabeth Clark
5/10

The soundtrack of Pecker perfectly captures the quirky and eclectic essence of the characters and setting in Baltimore. The mix of indie rock and alternative music creates a vibrant and energetic atmosphere that complements Pecker's artistic journey. The use of different music genres reflects the diverse personalities of the characters, adding depth to the storytelling.

Charles Mitchell
6/10

On the other hand, some may find the soundtrack of Pecker a bit too disjointed and chaotic, lacking a cohesive theme throughout the movie. While the eclectic selection of songs adds to the film's eccentric charm, it can also be overwhelming at times, taking away from the emotional impact of certain scenes. A more focused and consistent musical direction could have enhanced the overall experience of the film.

Richard Carter
8/10

The music in Pecker effectively complements the comedic and heartwarming moments in the story, creating a delightful atmosphere that immerses the audience in Pecker's world and journey as a budding photographer.

Melissa Harris
2/10

The music in Pecker often feels out of place and disconnected from the emotional tone of the scenes. It fails to enhance the storytelling and instead detracts from the overall viewing experience.
