Plaza Suite is a comedy play written by Neil Simon. The play consists of three acts, each telling a different story that takes place in Suite 719 of the Plaza Hotel in New York City.
In the first act, a married couple, Sam and Karen Nash, return to the suite where they spent their honeymoon. However, their marriage is on the rocks and they are there to celebrate their anniversary. As they reminisce about the past, they confront the issues that have been plaguing their relationship.
The second act follows a Hollywood producer, Jesse Kiplinger, who invites his high school sweetheart, Muriel Tate, to the suite in an attempt to rekindle their romance. However, Muriel is now married and has no interest in Jesse's advances, leading to a series of comedic misunderstandings.
The final act features a bride, Norma Hubley, who locks herself in the bathroom on her wedding day, refusing to come out. Her parents and future in-laws must come together to try and convince her to go through with the ceremony, leading to chaos and hilarity.
